Thunder Hill Cinema offers an optional Chrome browser extension that lets you share YouTube and Vimeo videos as status updates directly from your browser. If you install the extension, the following applies:
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The extension stores the following data in Chrome's built-in storage APIs, on your device only:

Authentication token and instance URL

chrome.storage.localto keep you signed in to your Thunder Hill Cinema account within the extension. -
"Show button on page" preference
— stored in
chrome.storage.syncso your display preference is remembered across your Chrome sessions and devices. -
Share timestamps — the extension records when you last shared each
video URL in
chrome.storage.localto enforce a 24-hour cooldown per video. Entries older than 24 hours are automatically deleted.
Data Read from Web Pages
The extension reads the URL of the current tab on YouTube and Vimeo pages only, solely to detect whether you are watching a video. This URL is not stored or transmitted unless you explicitly click Share.
Data Transmitted When You Share
When you click the Share button, the video URL and any caption you have typed are sent to your Thunder Hill Cinema instance to create the status update. No other data is transmitted. This information is handled according to the rest of this Privacy Policy.
No Third-Party Data Sharing
The extension does not share any data with third parties. All network requests made by the extension go only to your Thunder Hill Cinema instance.
Removing Extension Data
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored extension data (auth token, preferences, and share timestamps) from your device.
